CAF CONFEDERATIONS CUP: Cecafa teams handed tough draw in Play-off

Teams in the Council of East and Central African Football Associations (Cecafa) region have been handed a tough draw in the play-off round of the Total CAF Confederations Cup. In the draws conducted in Cairo, Egypt on Wednesday evening Kenya’s Bandari FC will face Guinea’s Premier League champions Horoya AC with the first leg to be played away.

Tanzania’s Young Africans FC who were eliminated by Zesco FC (Zambia) in the CAF Champions League will take on Egypt’s Pyramids FC handled by former Uganda Cranes coach Sebastian Desabre.

Uganda Premier League Champions KCCA FC who are not enjoying good form lately will face a tough task against Algeria’s Paradou AC, while another Ugandan side Proline FC take on Libya’s Al-Masr FC.

Kenya Premier League Champions Gor Mahia FC will hope that they can make the group stage, but they must first overcome the DC Motema Pembe (DR Congo) hurdle.

According to CAF the first leg matches will be played on October 27th, while the 2nd leg matches will be played November 3rd.
