Cecafa Kagame Cup holders KCCA FC were also handed their heaviest defeat on the continent losing 4-1 away to Algeria’s Paradou AC.

Salaheddine Herrari gave the Paradou AC team the lead before Allan Okello leveled matters for KCCA FC. But Coach Mike Hillary Mutebi’s team continued to defend poorly and conceded three more goals through Yousri Bouzok (penalty), Abdelkahar Kadri and Aimen Bouguera.

Uganda’s Cup winners Proline Fc who managed a 2-2 away draw against Libya’s Al Masr FC failed to use home advantage losing 2-0 at the Star Times Stadium, Lugogo. Khalid Magdy scored an early goal after 5 minutes before Osama Albedwi made it 2-0 after 62 minutes.

It was another bad day in office for the Cecafa teams as Kenya’s Bandari FC also fell 1-0 in-front of their fans to Horoya AC. The Guinea side scored through Ocansey Mandela.

No teams from the Cecafa region qualified for the group stage of the Total CAF Confederation Cup, while Sudan’s Al Hilal made it to the group stage of the Total CAF Champions League.
