Burundi, Rwanda set to play friendly matches in Madagascar

The national teams of Burundi and Rwanda will play two international friendly matches each during the FIFA International Window this month.

Burundi Football Federation (BFF) announced that their national team will face hosts Madagascar in the first match on March 22rnd, 2024 at the Kianja Barea Mahamasina Stadium.

Rwanda’s Amavubi will also battle Botswana the same day in the same Stadium, while Burundi return to action against Botswana three days later. Rwanda will take on Madagascar in the last match the same day.

Besides Burundi and Rwanda, the Uganda Cranes will also make a trip to Morocco to play two international matches against Comoros and the Blacks Stars of Ghana.

The Federation of Uganda Football Associations (FUFA) announced that the national team will take on Comoros on March 22rd, and later battle Ghana four days later with all matches to be played at the Marrakech Stadium.

Ethiopia are also set to host two International friendly matches against Lesotho between March 21-24th, 2024.

Besides the four teams, Tanzania will play in a FIFA Series event in Baku, Azerbaijan where they will face Bulgaria and Mongolia, while Kenya will feature in a 4-Nations tournament that will feature Zambia, Zimbabwe and hosts Malawi.
