Burundi face Ivory Coast in Marrakech

The national team of Burundi will face Ivory Coast in an international friendly match this evening at the Marrakech Stadium in Morocco.

Jimmy Ndayizege, head coach of the Burundi team says the match will help him test his players ahead of the TotalAfrica Cup of Nations (AFCON) qualifiers next year.

“Facing a strong team like Ivory Coast is a good test for my players,” says Ndayizege. Strikers Saido Berahiho, Cedric Amissi and Gael Bigirimana are expected to play key roles for the Burundi team.

Meanwhile, on two teams from the Council of East and Central Africa Football Associations (CECAFA) Zone Rwanda and Sudan are also set to  face-off in international friendly matches in Kigali.

The two teams will clash in the first friendly on November 17th at the Kigali Stadium, while the second match will be played two days later.
