Arta Solar 7 FC have slipped in the 2022/2023 Djibouti Premier League and will not be able to defend the title they have lifted in the last two seasons.

Led by the former Arsenal and Barcelona midfielder Alex Song, Arta Solar 7 suffered a 3-1 defeat to second placed Asas/Djibouti Telecom in a match played on Saturday at the El-Hadji Hassan Stadium, Gouled.

With one match to be played for the former champions, the defeat leaves Arta Solar 7 in third place with 30 points from 15 matches played. Asas/Djibouti Telecom are second on the log with 34 points.

In another League match played on Saturday sixth placed FC Dikhil/SGTD defeated SDC/Group Hopital 2-0.

Table leaders CF Garde Republicaine/SIAF maintained their lead on the log with a 2-1 win against CF Gendarmerie on Friday night, while AS Port ACS also picked a 2-1 victory against Hayabley/CNSS.

CF Garde Republicaine could be crowned champions on May 26th, 2023 if they manage to beat Arta Solar 7. But incase the table leaders fail to win their last League match, ASAS/Djibouti Telecom could win the title on May 27th, 2023 if they pick maximum points against ACS Hayabley/CNSS.
