Al Hilal coach Hamada confident after vital away win to Etoile du Sahel

Head coach of Sudan’s Al Hilal, Sedki Hamada has said he is confident they win make the later stages of the Total CAF Champions League. After picking a vital 1-0 win away to Group B table leaders Etoile du Sahel in Tunisia on December 28th, Sedki is confident his team has what it takes to make it to the quarter finals.

“We have been working hard and we now need to win our next home game against Etoile du Sahel in Khartoum to get good confidence and the momentum,” added the coach.

Al Hilal, the only team in the Council of East and central African Football Association (CECAFA) region in the group stage of the CAF Champions League are third in Group B with the same six points like first placed Etoile du Sahel and African giants Al Ahly.

The coach said that it is very important to try and get maximum points in their remaining two home games and one away to FC Platinum. “We shall keep working hard because the target remains to win the trophy,” added the coach.

In the Group stage Al Hilal lost 2-1 away to Egypt’s Al Ahly, before stopping FC Platinum 2-1 and following it up with a hard earned 1-0 win in Tunisia few days ago.

The best two teams from of the four groups will qualify for the quarter final stage.
