Dar Port Kagame Cup 2024
The CECAFA Club Cup is a football club tournament organized by CECAFA. It has been known as the CECAFA Kagame Cup since 2002, when Rwandan President Paul Kagame began sponsoring the competition. It is contested by clubs from East and Central
Africa and has had invitational sides from other Zones participate in the competition.
The Kagame Cup 2024 edition is this year being held in Tanzania between 9
th – 21st July 2024, dubbed Darport Kagame Cup in line with Tanzania Ports Authority sponsorship.
The Tournament is featuring Twelve (12) teams from the Region and has one invited side, Red Arrows F.C, from Zambia, which is in the COSAFA Zone.
The timing of the Tournament is a perfect preseason opportunity as most Leagues commence around mid-August to early September and also provides a great opportunity for Clubs that will participate in the CAF Champions League and Confederation Cup competitions.
