CECAFA champions Simba Queens FC have been drawn to face Morocco’s ASFAR FC in the second Edition of the TotalEnergies CAF Women’s Champions League.

During the draw conducted today at the Mohammed VI Technical Centre in Rabat, Morocco, Simba Queens FC have been placed in Group A which also has last year’s bronze medalists ASFAR FC, Green Buffaloes FC (Zambia) and Liberia’s Determine Girls FC.

The Tanzanian team qualified to represent the CECAFA regional after stopping She Corporate FC of Uganda 1-0 in the final of the Zonal qualifier last month in Dar es salaam.

The tournament which will attract eight teams will take place October 30th to November 13th in Morocco.

Sebastian Leonard Nkoma, the Simba Queens FC coach says they have to prepare well because all the teams in the Champions League are good teams. “There is no way any team can be underrated,” says Nkoma.

Group B will have the defending champions Mamelodi Sundowns Ladies of South Africa, Bayelsa Queens (Nigeria), Wadi Degla (Egypt) and a representative from the UNIFFAC Zone.
