Simba Queens appoint new coach Lukula

Tanzania Women’s Premier League champions Simba Queens have appointed a new coach Charles Ayiekoh Lukula.

The new coach from Uganda was unveiled in the Tanzanian capital Dar es Salaam on Monday.

Lukula who has a CAF A coach licence will have his first task of guiding Simba Queens at the TotalEnergies CAF Women’s Champions League slated for November 30th to November 13th in Morocco.

The new coach who has handled many men’s teams in Uganda last month guided She Corporate to second place in the recent Zonal qualifiers of the TotalEnergies CAF Women’s Champions League losing to Simba Queens 1-0 in Dar es Salaam.

“ I am happy about this opportunity and I promise to work hard to make the team achieve a lot of success at home and at the international stage,” said the new coach.

For the TotalEnergies CAF Women’s Champions League in Morocco, Simba Queens who will be making their debut are placed in Group A alongside AS FAR (Morocco), Green Buffaloes (Zambia) and Liberia’s Determine Girls.
